Latex Resuscitator - bs48700
Latex resuscitation device
A similar ambu bag is commonly used in healthcare for performing artificial respiration. The mouthpiece is placed on the nose and mouth of the casualty, and squeezing the bag delivers air to their lungs. When released, the bag returns to its original shape and draws in fresh air through valve no. 1. Exhaled air exits through opening no. 3. The arrangement of the valves and airflow directions are shown in the second picture. The valves are one-way, air can only flow in the direction of the arrows. The bag allows for smooth breathing even without squeezing it.
In breathplay (breathing games), various ingeniously connected hoses, bags and breathing restrictors are often used. If you would like to connect this ambu bag to another device, here are a few tips:
- This hose for gas masks fits perfectly on valve no. 2, therefore it is possible to use any gas mask instead of the supplied mouthpiece, which will guarantee perfect tightness on the face.
- If you would also like to connect the intake and exhaust valve, it is not so simple and will require a certain amount of ingenuity (necessary for breathplay).
- You can see a detail of the intake valve (No. 1) in the third picture. The inner diameter is 33 mm and the outer diameter is 37 mm. Inside there is also a kind of conical mandrel with a diameter of 6 - 10 mm, onto which it is possible to attach, for example, a rubber or silicone hose. Whether you use a wide valve or just the inner mandrel, air always flows only towards the bag.
- The inner diameter of the exhalation valve (No. 3) is 27 mm and the outer diameter is 30 mm. Air always flows out of the device through here.
