Latex by the meter
Sometimes you may encounter the term latex fabric, which is a misnomer. Fabric is woven from threads, while latex is a solid mass (sheet) cast from rubber tree milk.
Latex material 4D Rubber is ideal for making latex clothing and accessories. It is used by most world designers and manufacturers. It was once unimaginable for someone to make latex clothing themselves. However, today there are many skilled and creative enthusiasts among you who are not afraid to tackle even complex dresses or catsuits.
If you have any experience with gluing latex, you know that at first, it's a struggle, but it can be learned. If you've never done it and would like to try it, we recommend the blog Making Latex Clothing, where you will find useful tips including video tutorials. For the very basics, you need to scroll through the blog to the very old history, see the inconspicuous "Previous Entries" button at the bottom of the page. Want to try gluing and don't want to spend on a large piece of material? Try it first with a narrow latex strip for a few bucks.
You will also need vulcanization glue for latex. Don't look for substitutes. We know cases where someone tried Chemoprén or superglue. Don't make the same mistake. It really won't hold.
Types of latex material
We offer more than 60 colors and various thicknesses from 0.25 to 1.50 mm. Before you order latex material, it is important to know what color and thickness you actually need.
- We dedicate a separate article to latex thicknesses.
- Color is tricky! Remember that no camera captures color exactly as the human eye sees it, and every monitor displays colors slightly differently! Therefore, we recommend first ordering a color swatch with real samples. Then you can't go wrong ;-)
Latex sheet as decoration or bedding
You don't necessarily have to cut and glue latex material. It can also be used on its own. Most commonly as a sheet or tablecloth. In S/M studios and fetish clinics, it is popularly used for curtains or decorations. It is also a luxurious and original background for photographs.
