Czech Fetish Parties

Would you like to flaunt your favorite latex outfit somewhere other than the privacy of your home, but still struggle with indecision and shyness? And what about familiar faces of the latex scene? What do you think, how did they handle it back then?

Meetings with BDSM and fetish themes have a relatively strong tradition in the Czech Republic. We will not discuss smaller, private BDSM parties that took place in the 1990s and undoubtedly even during the previous regime. We will stay in the present. For now, we will also leave aside the BDSM meetings themselves (see the list at the end of the article) and focus on pure Fetish Parties.

The first Czech party focused on latex took place in April 2004 at the Ariadne club in Prague and was organized by a group of people under the banner of darkclub.cz, whose core still organizes various meetings and events today.

Since 2005, an event called Gumový Eliot has been held regularly at a remote guesthouse on the outskirts of Brno, attended by 30 - 60 participants over the years. It is a friendly gathering in latex and leather with a light program and a truly homely atmosphere.

Gumový Eliot opened the gates to this mysterious world for many people and also inspired the creation of other similar gatherings. Many still criticize the venue. An old guesthouse with shabby curtains and antlers on the walls would probably be more welcomed by campers than fetishists. On the other hand, it is a guesthouse in a remote location, with accommodation and parking, which is a huge advantage. In 2005, there was nothing to compare it to, and honestly - without Eliot, who knows where the Czech fetish scene would be today…

Three years later, in 2008, a second, similar party called Fetish Grand Prix was established. The name comes from the venue, which is also located on the outskirts of Brno, specifically near the Brno Automotodrom. FGP is slightly larger, attended by about 60 - 70 people. Similar to Eliot, it is mainly a friendly gathering.

Both mentioned Brno events require a strict dress code, i.e., clothing made of latex, leather, or PVC. Both are held regularly to this day, and besides regular guests, there is always a new face. Brno is undoubtedly the cradle of the Czech fetish community.

The third significant event is the youngest yet rapidly growing party called Prague Fetish Weekend. It has been held since 2013, and as the name suggests, it is a weekend-long party, where else but in Prague. PFW, compared to the Brno parties, has the nature of a large, world-class party with a rich program. It always lasts from Thursday to Sunday and is attended by around 1000 people.

We often hear from you that you have been considering participating for a long time, but in the end, shyness always wins, fears of not fitting into the community, etc. Friends, believe that there is nothing to worry about. People inclined towards BDSM, fetish, and other specific forms of sexuality are usually very open-minded people without prejudice. No one will look down on you or judge you in any way. If such a meeting appeals to you and you are not a confrontational type, the doors are open for you.

Which event would we recommend for a start? This is, by the way, a frequent question. Each event is different and original in its own way. Those looking for a mega event in a luxurious club, with a rich program and dance party, definitely Prague Fetish Weekend. For those who want to get acquainted, slowly fit in, and have time to chat more with others, FGP or Gumový Eliot will definitely be more beneficial.

Accommodation and parking are also important. Both Brno guesthouses have their own parking lot, where civilian eyes cannot see, and rooms with private facilities. This is a really crucial advantage! If you go to any Prague club, you must either travel around Prague in latex or use the communal cloakroom on-site, which may not always be entirely comfortable.

If you are a lover of fetish clothing and would like to enjoy it somewhere other than the privacy of your home, do not hesitate and visit any of the mentioned events. Most people struggle with shyness and nervousness before the first decision. Believe that everyone felt this way once, including those who now perform as participants and contribute to the program. Remember, nervousness has never helped anyone achieve happiness ;-)
